Pod surfing still possible and even worse in 1.4

Today I played a game after downloading 1.4(a few days ago), I noticed that people were still pod surfing except now, they can fly it like a gunship. I would like to point out I saw him and others do it several times over three games on two different servers, so its not a random glitch. I almost caught one on a screen shot, but all you can see is the smoke trail. I finally caught one of them on video. Fixed pod surfing my rear-end, its even worse now!

That type of pod surfing was also possible in 1.25. Looks like it's getting more popular. Those are APC or Titan pods, not SL beacon or transporter pods. That type of surfing even has a name, "Superman Pods" lol

Yeah, that has to be APC or at least Titan pod surfing.

Don't know where you guys play but I have never seen anyone POD surfin in all the time I have been playing. Still don't know how to do it either.

I do know that the Transport pilot POD is now useless - may as well just have a suicide button instead.

Why does the Transport just fall out of the sky when you bail! Surely it would carry on under it's own power and momentum for a few 100 yards at least.

yea one sucky thing about transport pod nerf is that people are now using GUNSHIPS to bail. liek screw off dudes, the gunship's meant to be used as a weapon not an FAV ><

No,that's why Dice give us 2 gunships now, one for combat, one to replace the transport since they made it so useless, besides if you bail with the transport, it'll land right on top of you, i sucided 20 times in the new patch already by doing this.

EA didnt say that they were disabling it. They said they did futher countermeasures to prevent pod surfing. Preventing isn't the same thing as stopping it. They just tried their best to stop it.

Well looks like they failed on two fronts then. People can evidently still surf but cannot evacuate the transport in an emergency. :shakehead
