    Official Tips Thread!

This is the place for you to ask for/post tips and hints.

    I'll start:

In hardcore mode, dont run out into the middle of the open UNLESS YOU KNOW it is safe. LEAN around CORNERS before you do so.

Wait until someone on your team uses the UAV so you can get a good view on where to drop the airstrike.

    PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC

The M14 is best used with the red dot sight due to its terrible iron sight.

When using the M14 at range dont tap the trigger, use a steady timed single tap to avoid too much recoil on the bullet, basically, be patient.

I'll add something to that; If you can, wait until the enemy is running towards or away from you then you can tap the trigger.

        wow that was stickied fast.

Silenced P90 or silenced G36C in CQC tears the enemy apart.

The M14 shares ammo with the sniper rifles, with a few exceptions.

Tip: Spik3d should stop posting useless things in this thread.

Stun grenades and Shotguns can be a good combo.

EDIT: damnit rbevan beat me to it

For those who don't know, frag nades can be "cooked" by holding the grenade button.

Please stay on topic or I will have to remove the sticky.

My Tip: C4 can be thrown over walls, around corners, or practically anywhere (with practice) by right-clicking when you have C4 selected.

UAV Jammer does not prevent the enemy from seeing a red blip on their radar when you fire an unsilenced weapon.

Hold your breath for 2+ seconds before firing a sniper rifle.

On certain maps when using a Sniper rifle, you'll end up wearing a Ghillie suit, which helps you blend into surroundings, preferably grassy ones.

You can cut your weapon reload time short by double tapping your weapon switch key (default 1 or 2) as soon as you see the bullets fill back up in you HUD. This works better on some guns, such as the G3, but others there is no difference, such as the M4.

You can detonate a C4 charge by quickly double-tapping your "use" key. This allows you to set the C4, switch to your weapon to defend yourself better, and still be able to blow it up without having the detonator in your hand.

C4 and Claymores can also be detonated by shooting them from a distance.

                            ..

If an opponent is taking cover behind a car, shoot the car until it catches fire. It will explode a few seconds later, seriously injuring or killing the other player(s) if they don't move. If they do run, shoot them.

If you hate a particular weapon, use it yourself until you know it's weaknesses.

Bind your knife to a mouse button, or other key you can hit in an instant.

Bind Primary Fire to your Mouse Wheel and you can fire semi-auto weapons very quickly.

UAV, Air Strikes, and Helicopters carry over from one round to the next if you don't use them.

When in doubt, fall back, circle around, and try another angle. If the enemy knows you're behind a corner, don't stick your head back out. 9/10 times it gets shot off. Don't linger either lest a cooked grenade land at your feet.

Don't always take the obvious path to the objective.

Don't stand in doorways. You're easy to shoot and you block your teammates.
