Hey, it's true ain't it? If some lvl 12 owns you left and right then your lvl 55 on the last prestige don't mean ****, you still suck.

i was hoping this game would be up to par with bf2 in terms of gaining ranks and having something to "look forward to" or "work towards"... but now i see myself stuck at 55 with no xp rewarded and nothing really new to get or do. at this same time that im capped with nothing else to achieve in a game that came out a few weeks ago, im STILL developing my character and moving forward and being rewarded on BF2... i just wish that multiplayer had some more incentive to keep playing once u hit 55, i really don't like my xp frozen i was a bit dissapointed after viewing my buddies xbox360 version of the game to see so many people working their way up evenafter 55, this got me a lil jealous i must say. i know that prestige mode doesn't give u anything but a bragging privelage to have the different icons next to your name, but it goes much further than that - instead of being stuck at a certain amount of XP with no more leveling up you can actually SEE yourself moving up as a more experienced player. i really dont understand why they didn't just implement this on the PC, even if it doesn't do much, at least you'd be moving forward and not at a stand still.. its just the same game over and over now and i feel i need more! i love this game but if it only had the ability to reward you over such a loooong period of time such as bf series does.

hopefully they will get sick of people complaining about prestige mode (or the lack there of) and throw it into the game somehow... just a thought...

I wouldn't be too surprised if they added Prestige Mode in a future patch.

That being said, part of me hopes they don't, so that it doesn't encourage BF2-style stat/rank/level-whoring.

I see your point and kind of want this my self but at the same time dont for the reason whisky states.

As stephensolofo said, who wants to play months and months to get all the content in the game? Thats just stupid, and a cheap tactic by developers to keep people playing there game rather than just making a good game that people want to play because its fun.

I think this whole rank thing in general in all games in ruining them, developers can get away with making half baked games knowing people will keep playing because of unlocks and stats, I am glad that IW did a excellent job of finding the middle road.

Are you a stat padder who only plays games to say he's the top rank? A mindless noob who is obsessed with levels, not the game?

I thought this community didn't care about stats? All I ever saw on TBF2142 was "stats aren't important, omfg KAIN is a noob" yet when the chips are down you're all just the people you claim to hate, the kind of player who's not happy 'til he's got a higher number before his name.

Really what they should have doen is made LVling up a damn site lot harder. and have a lower rank as the highest atm, like BF2 then release a patch that allows the rank up to 5 Star Commander

I think they should impliment a bikini beach girl mode where the enemy turns into scantily clad girls in bikinis because "some people like it".

ok your guys logic is... retarded to say the least.

Laymans Terms: Prestige is available on consoles, many people like it, many people dont. Many people do it, many people dont.

Prestige mode isnt available on PC even though many people like it, while many people dont. Which is why it is reasonable enough to implement it.

Summary:
Arguing the reasons why people dont like prestige mode, is like arguing why some hate the colour blue. Your opinion why you think red is better doesnt ****ing matter to that person and wont change his mind about the colour blue.

And to top it all off:
