PunkBuster issue

For some reason my punkbuster start kicking me from playing MP. I had no issue with it before and have legit copy. No one else has my key so I dont know why punkbuster would not work. Please help!!!!!! It says Player kicked for punkbuster init failure.

downloading auto-update program.
seems like they just updated punkbuster for COD4 and that's why a lot of people may be having this issue...

Lots of issues tonight. Here's how I fixed mine. Went into Services and stopped the punkbusterA service then restarted it. Then went to web and got the latest PB update - follow all the directions. Then rebooted. Bingo!

This issue made me unload BF2 and upgrade to Vista last week - before I purchased COD4. I think that this is a recent issue. Something did not get programmed right somewhere - probably PB itself.

seems like there are thousands out there downloading from pbuster site cuz all im getting is hour glass whenever i download. guess i will try it later...

My PBsetup will say that all updates have been applied, when in fact they are not. As a result I continue to get PB kicked. The game requires A1385 C2.009, my pb updates to A1385 C1.727

It seems like PB's site is down. It takes hours just to dl pbsetup and even that can't connect to their servers. The only time I could play and this. Way to go PB.
Good to know I'm not alone at this.

But ya, their website isn't even loading for me anymore, soooo looks like no COD4 for me tonight! Guess i'll go finish watching season 6 of the Sopranos instead.:yay:
