New bugs after Patch 1.40

i've been alt-tabbing out a lot recently cos i keep forgetting to turn off my firewall. no problems whatsoever even though i had problems before 1.4.
is it because i havent disabled the intro movies?

I don't think there ever was a clear solution to the alt-tabbing problem.
Some could tab with the intro files, some could without them and some never had any success.

My guess is that it has something to do with exactly how BF is loaded into memory, which can be different on every PC based on drivers etc.
And of course what patch version you are using.

Well, The patch totally halted my BF2142, I had a problem with Modified content, because they still havent got the uninstaller to delete all the dam files.

I finally got it to work, but the average gamer wouldnt put as much time in it as I did!

I wish this kit saving to be removed. It pisses me off!

Every time I have to check what weapon I have and what armor is selected.

So the kit save stuff is saved in profile.con eh? I wonder if a possible solution is to make that file READ-ONLY so it couldn't possibly mess it up anymore once the kits are saved the way you want them. I'll go try it out.

Does anybody know anything about being one shot killed with the Voss because I coulda swore that happened to me earlier.

if you make your .con files read only you can't get any new point on that pc.

I tried making all the files read-only and it didn't seem to work. Maybe the kit saves are somewhere else?

Personally I wouldn't mind a fix where the kits are set to default to something all the time, so if you want to switch, it will never save that (eg. it defaults to rdx+camo+light+lambert so if you want to snipe you have to manually switch to apm+stabilizer+zellar/stock to change every time)

it is written in one of the .con files. but in the same file it remembers your score. thus if you make it read-only then you cannot gain points.

is anybody getting freezes during HW tampa map? i can task manager quit the game, but it freezes and is "not responding"...

arrr dammit kitsaves are ruining my game... or rather the screwed-up state of it.
my computer INSISTS that i start every assault soldier off with the smoke grenade and defib, or shotgun and PK ><

I keep getting the bug where you are shooting someone, and unload a whole clip and it hardly damages the enemy soldier!!! Then he just shoots a couple of bursts and you die! This is one of the most annoying bugs and must be addressed right away in my opinion.

No, its not lag. I can tell when it kinda happens in a similar way due to lag..

I never used to get it before the 1.40 patch.
