patch 1.4 few sersvers

I hate to be the guy who does the whole, proclaiming a game dead, kind of thing, especially with one of my favorite games. But the delay of 1.4, couple with how terrible Highway Tampa is, couple with the release of COD4 has for right now at least, Killed 2142.

I still love the game, and have a blast playing it, but COD is something new, and probably for me more fun to play. I think some things with multiplayer could have been handled MUCH better for COD, although the netcode is a billion times better than 2142.

Long story short, I'm sure I, and a lot of the others who have left, will be back to 2142, but I just don't know if its numbers will ever be that good again.

I think 2142CC is the cause of these crashes. CC is very buggy when you connect to a 1.40 server.

That may be, both times our 54 man server has crashed it has been around the time an admin was logging out of cc. I'm going to tell my guys to stay out of cc for a day or so and see what happens.

COD4 is a completely different game. So as much as I enjoy playing it, I also enjoy coming back for some 42. COD is more CQB, fast and frenzied, with wins and losses coming every 3 minutes. 42 still feels great cuz you have to work for 10-20 mins to achieve a victory.
