Do you seriously want to suggest that BF2 has more spam than CoD4?

You can't hide from nades in CoD4, literally. In BF2 you can atleast run around a bit, and I've never really experienced any spam in BF2.

I bought COD4 tonight and after only a few mplayer games I have to say that I prefer BF2 so far. COD4 is fine if you like frantic non stop kills/deaths, but I enjoy the larger open maps on BF2. Perhaps I'll change my oipinion with more practice . . . . maybe !

Edit: I ought to point out that I have a low spec pc, 2.8ghz celeron, 1 gig ram, Nvidia 6200, Vista.

Xfire doesn't really tell much... The statistics only apply to the people that have xfire open while they play a game.

i agree, cod4 is great. I think with the size of the maps though, if you get any over 20 players it's too hectic. I can have stealthy fun with like 8 people, and have a combat rush with like 16. Anything over 20 on these small cod4 maps and it's all the nade spamming stupid **** that we all were worried about. Idk if any of you guys ever played united offensive, but you could use ww2 vehicles in that game online and it was right up there with bf1942 and bfv at the time. I'm hoping activision does something like that with cod4 multiplayer in the future, big maps and sweet vehicles.

I play COD4 also. Its a good addition to BF2 not a replacement for BF2 IMO. Right now Im just passing time waiting on the next BF installment, if there is one for PC. I will agree the the maps are small and need to be, maybe, 2 times the size that they are. For those of you who dont have it, COD4, I will give you an example that will show you what its like. Have you ever played the 16 player Jollybob map with about 50 players. Well thats COD4 plus better graphics. Well thats my take on it anyway.

Dont get me wrong, I still spend most of my game time with BF2 but COD4 is good too. . . . . . . . .Red

Whats up with people comparing a small infantry sp demo to a huge online game with lots of hardware?
And why the f*ck are you people hanging on TOTAL BATTLEFIELD 2! if you hate the game so much!?
If you don't like it: STOP PLAYING IT!

The CoD series has never come close to BF2's huge playerbase, the only fps game(s) that has more players is CS & CS:S.
BF2 is the only fps game that has ever passed CS in playernumbers(a short time when BF2 was new).

Im beliveing the hype that there is a bf3 coming soon, & i hope they dont screw it up like graw or something.

thats best thing about bf2 they have large maps that can be shrunk by the server. i'f rumors right you will have 80player mapps in the new bf3.

I`ll get BF3 after trying a pirate version first for a year or so. I don`t wanna be suprised by medicore insantry gameplay again, plus all the bs that bf2 had going.
