        Shift.

I find double tap slower, laggier(more delayed) and less intuitive.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but in order to double-tap while already moving, you have to let go and tap. It's a pause, which slows you down.

i always use double tap just a habit :)

but i will say when sniping at distance i can tell who uses the double tap as they pause and go,it can save there life sometimes as it trows my aim off.

shift is a good way to go,but they most likely put in double tap for ps2 keyboard users witch is fair enough.

I guess I’m old fashioned I use the right mouse button to walk and the up arrow to sprint. All my other buttons are mapped around the arrow keys, but if I changed it now I will be in trouble.

btw, why cant higly trained soldiers that have had to run 10 or so miles with gear not run more than a few dozen meters

                      Shift + W always.

Double tapping is too sloppy, imo.

Because you're comparing real life soldiers to sprint speeds in BF2. In Project Reality, almost all the classes can sprint way longer than that in BF2.

Quoted for eternal truth. I don't understand why doubleW was ever introduced in this game at all.

So you could use one finder instead of two!
