I see both sides to this argument... I've set this game to run and many different resolutions along with graphic settings and no matter what I do all the guys look like they are running around with carrots stuck up their butts. The movement is sloppy and the gameplay is horrible in regards to team work in most of the modes with exception to all out hell 1 vs all. Now I do have to say its very exciting and very fast paced and I'm sure it will only get better. However, my first impression is this game has nothing on Crysis. I figured it would be at least a even match but wow was I wrong. I'll continue to play COD4 for a while and try to figure more things out since I am new to the series since I'd rather not judge a book by its cover. But as I said, within the first 3 chapters in out of 20 I believe this game is shortlived for anything other than the occasional Sunday Single player mission.

you are wrong. the mp is a blast. and i dont know why bf2 gets hated on so much because one of the things CoD should have learned from bf2 is the squad system.

All i can say is cod4 is going to be going a lto longer than crysis,sure lots will play crysis but theres only so much you can do in single player before it gets to be redundant somewat.The multiplayer in crysis is a joke as well.

Cant wait to pick up my copy of cod4 monday.

we had our great fun back in BF242 but i have never played a CoD game before and im a typical ground pounder with my Baur (g3 in this game i hear)

Well.. it is definitely different. You can lean around corners, the weapons are refined.

I have only played the BETA/DEMO which you should too. It is a great game, but weird to get used to if you are new to the series.

My opinion is that this game rocks! I've played a lot of FPS games in my time and this one is by far the best infantry type game I've ever played. The graphics are fantastic. The engine's physics are wonderful. There's nothing like being crouched by a car when the enemy lobs a nade or shoots a rocket, blowing up the car and killing you. The two things I wish I could turn off on a ranked server is that stupid health regeneration thing and hit indicators, but I'll live with them.

My clan's servers are running in hardcore mode, which makes the game SO much better. No stupid map showing where you're firing from. No nade indicators. You guys should give it a try. We're running one server with HQ mode and the other with Sabotage. Both create a great sense of teamplay and are loads of fun.

I don't think I have played on a server yet that hasn't been running "Pro Mode". I thought it was just normal in the game to have no radar, cross-hair or HUD when playing. Plus, it only takes 1-2 bullets to kill you.
I think its probably more fun that way!

Is it just me or does multiplayer just downright suck? The gameplay is very poorly designed. You die from 1 or 2 hits, which makes it a kind of game where stealth is important, but everytime you fire a shot, you appear on enemy minimap, and since there is wall-penetration, all the enemy has to do is fire in your direction and kill you thru the wall. Not only that but there's no general direction of a map, no chokepoints, and every room has at least 3 entrances into it (in addition to having every wall penetrable), so enemy can pop out or shoot from any 4 directions. I say 4 directions because they also spawn behind you, even if you're on your own side of the map, which makes it even more difficult to play. So when you're playing, you have to constantly spin your mouse in circles the whole time you're moving in any random direction just to stay alive.

Single player is OK if you're into the whole kill Muslims thing or if you're still living in the Cold War and like to battle the non-existing Soviets.

I have to strongly disagree SP is almost like great movie MP is almost perfect.
