How would you rate BF2's Graphics?

with the graphics getting better and better, its starting to look too surreal... look at the 3rd picture. have you ever seen in real life something that looks that pretty?


anyways, I just got my new computer and I'm seeing a huge difference... before i was getting 12 fps with all settings at low... now im getting 250 fps with all settings on high(x8 anti)
i don't think i can ever go back to low gfx...
but the problem with high grapics and the shadows is that it limits your sniping more... if you took off the shadows hey presto its not dark behind the building.

Two things...

1. The bad news:
bf2 graphics = old, outdated, and bad

2. The good news:
There's always room for improvement

As realistic as they wanted them to be, those images do not look very real, they look fake, and some have too much detail making it even more dodgy.

Yeah, I have to agree. Even though Crysis is really "out-there" with it's new graphics processing system technology when using a DX-10 graphics card, I still have to say there's better graphics out there. If I had to I'd probably put my money on Half-Life2.

I think, that battlefield's graphic was awesome 2 years ago as it is now for multpilay gaming.
I don't know about you, but playing big maps with crisis graphics would drive me more than crazy with all those freaking snipers getting me from I-Don't-Know-How-Big-But-Probably-Huge-Distance-Shots set on one of those retarded (indeed) mountains.

The graphics were actually pretty cool when they came out, and although it's no COD4, I still have the graphics on low (due to my laggy computer) and I really like the scenery and everything. I'm not sure this comes under the title graphics, but the ragdoll effect in bf2 is really fun and well done, albeit at times unrealistic.

I don't think Crysis graphics are THAT good...........

real looking games are not as fun for some reason, I love BF2s graphics, it looks pretty damn nice when maxed out

I've been playing the game since the demo was released in 2005, I think it looks pretty damn good even today.

I would not mind if BF3 was on the same engine.

Exactly. Compared to other games like Crysis it's about average, but for the specs it's fantastic.

this game looks horrible! the textures suck, polygons suck. the game should have 100 times more foliage, bushes, rocks and greenery than it does now.
ohh yeah, theres no grass!!
