CoD 4 is really really fun, trust me, but it has NO teamwork whatsoever, so for that reason i will keep bf2 installed (and i want FH2). and besides, sniping on CoD4 is hard if not impossible with small maps and no "front line". and unlike bf2, im already about 80% done with the ranks/upgrades.

No, he's quite right: there's little to no teamwork in all servers. People just run around like headless chickens and twitch reflex practically dictates who gets credited with a kill. Sniping is nigh impossible on small maps, and overly difficult on larger ones...

I'm hoping it gets better, because it's starting to remind me of BF2's groundfighting. That's not a compliment.

Kinda sounds llike bf2 vanilla, & my guess is alot of bf2 vanilla players are playing the game, so there ya go.

IMO i dont like it, i think it has very nice graphics, other than that it doesnt impress me in the slighteset.
thank God for demo's so i didnt waste my money on it & bf2142, like 2142 it will die down eventually:nod:

I like the M4/Red Dot and I'm sure to like the M4/Acog combo, but we'll see when I get there. Thing is, it has so much potential to be better: I think you pretty much have to play the one or two specifics modes that don't allow you to respawn until the new round begins. Otherwise, it's just too hectic.

I've also found that if you're going to play free-for-all or team domination, you might as well go on moderately populated servers... like, 12 or 13 max: that tends to make the gameplay slightly more tactical and enjoyable.

yeah, i try to stick to servers with 20/24 people and it ok on bigger maps like overgrown (possibly the best looking map of all time), but even with 20 people, maps like crash (dont even mention shipment!) are just plain crazy. i do love CoD4 and will continue to play it for some thime, but i need bigger maps and a squad system.

My opinion is that just like BF2142 is like a total mod for BF2, CoD4 is like a total mod for CoD2. I enjoyed CoD2 immensely, but always didn't like the fact that there were no vehicles in the MP, although there were tanks in the SP. Although this meant there was no raping etc, it did get annoying and the maps also had to be small to compensatel. I still don't know whether to buy CoD4, even though it does look good fun - its nothing new or groundbreaking. As I'm buying Crysis and just spent ~£230 on PC upgrades. I doubt whether I'll buy CoD4, or at least not for now.

i played the crisis demo, and after a few minutes playing with the suits gadgets i just found myself running and gunning anyway, because the suit became a chore. plus, i hate fighting aliens.

Speak for yourself. I love the functions: I can totally see myself playing as a sniper for 15 minutes and then switching it up to close combat. The possibilities aren't endless, but there's enough variety to keep the gameplay fresh...

COD4 Will beat BF3. BF2 was a disappointment because they quit supporting it, BF2142 was a failure. I know I won't be getting BF3 because of the previous 2 games.

After reaching the rank of Captain in roughly 9 months, I've become quite bored with BF2. I do still play it, but not nearly as much as I used to.

Team Fortress 2 has taken over 99% of my multiplayer gaming, while Civilization IV - Beyond The Sword fills in my needs for single player.

You cant really compare a 2+ year old game with one that was only released a very short time ago. I doubt i will leave bf2 for a while, yer its buggy, yer the game is starting to get filled with aimbots, but ya know what, its still one of the best games i have ever played. EA/DICE have the formula spot on for addictiveness.
