Who cares you if you lose your ranks/unlocks/perks if you have to reinstall the game or have to reformate your computer, just don't worry about them and just play the game...

I care about my rank, stats, etc. just like in BF2. Same reason why ppl play WoW... it's nice to have those "intangible" benefits you get for playing the game (aside from having fun).

First, I installed the game and played 3 or 4 rounds last night. All the rounds were free for all, no teams. After doing that I think that the game rocks and rocks hard. For all the nerds out there thats a 9.8 out of 10.

As far as the stats/rank system I dont care how they do it as long as its the same for everyone. As everyone, who has played games with no stats, knows if you are any good most people will know you by your name. The word will spread and you will get a reputation. Kinda like in the old west with people like Billy the kid and Pat Garrett. I hope you like the game as much as I do, its no BF2 but its still a great game (so far). . . . . . . . . . . .Red

Hmm, maybe the stats are stored with your cd key on a server. It would be kinda stupid if you could just edit a file to give you all the unlocks and ranks

As far as we've heard, there are no unique usernames, so it sounds possible to have 2 or more people with the same name on the same server. Haven't seen it "live" yet.

Probably so because I made my name Eric and it worked fine.
