Need advice.

Im very new to buying a computer piece by piece so any help would be greatly appreciated. I finally starting buying stuff little by little in preparation of COD4.

edit: I dont need a mouse,keyboard, monitor ect. Just the internals of the pc.

the antec 900 is a good case a C2D is not a prob its pretty good might wanna go with the E6750 btw and why such a low-end card if u cant afford get a 8600GT 512mb DDR3 or if u can spil mor £££ then get the new and cheap 8800GT from Newegg!!!

I would definitely not recommend the 8600gt. When buying it, all your paying for is disappointment. It will not handle CoD4 anywhere near max graphics.

Well i already bought the "EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit" and the "Intel Core 2 Duo E6550" and that case but just for some reason the link to the GFX card is dead now. After that some stuff came up and money was low for a while and i just want to finally finish this.

So i need suggestions on a mobo, ram, powersupply, HD and thats it right? I hope haha

Be honest, your not going to go SLI are you. By the time you have enough cash for another card, you will want the next model. So i would say screw the 680i chipset and go P35.

The whole plan was to go SLI but its been so long now that you're right now its better to just wait for the next gen cards.

yeah im going to have to disagree with you completely. I have a 2.6 ghz processor, a ge force 7600, and only 1 gig of ram in my computer. I run COD4 at almost max settings in everything, with a 1650 x 1050 resolution at 75 refresh rate. I get no lag at all, and everything runs smoothly.

I used to have a 7600gt and it couldn't handle BF2 at 1680x1050 at max graphics. If you knew the first thing about computers, you would know just how retarded your statement is. Major rofl's going your way!

I highly doubt it. Unless you forgot to change the res from default, but at that res, I myself can't see it.

not possible, i had bits of lag when i tried to run everything max @ 1680*1050 on the demo, i doubt there was that much optimization added to the game since the demo.
