Game starts up fine, but when I try to access my audio options in the Options pane, the game crashes to desktop without any error message. Same thing happens when I try to connect to a multiplayer game or single player game. I've tried to reinstall the game and apply all recent patches as well as all video, audio, directx, punkbuster, and.net framework patches. Still, the game crashes to desktop when accessing the audio options or loading a game. I have searched the internet of forums regarding this issue, but no luck. What do I do?
**NOTE**
Been playing this game for almost 2 years without any issues at all. Also, I have been playing this game on this system in particular since February 2007 and until recently it starts to crash. I logged on one night and played; worked fine. Logged on the following morning and then this. For a while I have been researching this and trying everything that people have suggested but no luck, so I just stopped playing. But recently I have been wanting to play so I went out and bought another copy just in case my CD was screwed up. Still same thing happens. I know this is happening to a lot of people, but someone has to have a fix for this issue. I tried to contact EA but no response.
