I was wondering if anyone has experience with the 7600GT AGP video card & what settings you would recommend, both for BF2 and possibly the Nvidia Control Panel settings. I just upgraded from a Radeon X700. The game looks much nicer now, but gets extremely laggy (periodically <15fps), even with AA turned to off (all other settings set to high). During heavy fights, the game stalls completely to like 1fps. The less powerful X700 was able to run the game on all medium settings without noticeable lag.
Ideally, I'd like to keep AA on and sacrifice some other settings, thought I thought this card should be able to handle all high settings.
My system specs:
XFX GeForce 7600GT 256MB AGP 8x
Pentium 4C (HT,800mHz FSB, 512k) @ 2600MHz
ASUS MoBo w/ i875p chipset
2GB DDR/400 RAM
Antec 350W PSU (12V @ 17A) (scheduled for replacement)
2x 160GB SATA 150 HDD (defragged & swap file on secondary HDD)
I'd just like to know under what settings the game should run fine, if it still does not, I will try to eliminate other possible bottlenecks. I have a suspicion that the PSU is not powerful enough, which is why I ordered a Corsair 450W PSU w/ 33A on the 12V rail
Any input on this? Thanks!
