I usually hide in some shrub nearby, and when the chopper is facing the opposite direction, hop in them, and before they turn around they are gone. I do wish though that the IGLA would kill with 2 instead of 3 hits. No more chopper wh0r1ing then :)
Try setting up in areas where they have to fly over you but can't see you until it's too late - bases of hills, next to buildings, etc.

On Smoke Screen I love to set up on the road coming from the Wind Farm. The choppers fly over heading to the flag and a lot of times they don't even see you. Also, those buildings are great to hide between.

Then just remember to move b/c they'll be gunning for you when they respawn. Which can also work in your favor b/c they'll be heading to where you were so set up so you can observe that area.

It really pisses the leet chopper boys off when you drop them 3-4 times in a row.

Oh, and be sure to play as supply. Throw a few ammo bags around your vehicle and ALWAYS fire all of your missles when you have a clean lock. Then when they reload, you'll be instantly resupplied.

Great idea, the resupply trick! Will have to try that. Could make the game more fun. I am soooo tired of the chopper boys.

Yeah but then the kit should be limited like in PR. Imagine what would happen to those poor F35's on Wake if every chinece guy whos not in a jet or a chopter would play as AA

I dont know if this works with mobile AA, but when your in the essex gun and have a supply crate beside it you will get more than 8 AA missles because they will replenish from the supply crate as you fire. The trick to that is to NOT fire them real fast, Ive gotten as many as 12 AA shots at a J10 on Wake.

They can be extremely effective against chopper with a combo of a noob pilot and gunner, otherwise you'll be dead in it before you know it. Against jets they are ineffective even if the pilot is noob.
Against choppers I prefer the mounted 50 cal then the stingers/iglas.
In my experience, the only effective AA is the one on the carrier, that is if your commander is smart enough and kind enough to drop 3 supply drops next to it.

I found it easier to take down a chopper with a tank round or .50 cal mounted MG instead of an stationary AA site.

Stationary sucks, unless you time it so they're not looking at you.

Mobiles, use cover, trees are highly effective, buildings so-so, depends on situation, as trees are 1 billion times more powerful than any missile in BF2, they have saved me many many times.

Maps like Kubra, somewhat more difficult to find even a single tree for cover, but MEC gets the best dang MAA in BF2, the TUNGUSKA! <- it's just so fun to say 10 times fast.

Yeah, just not make it requestable like in PR. I mean having the AA weapons a pick up kit in like main bases or something... Hell, even buildable AA weapons would have been better...

The best, however, is when you panic a noob pilot and he crashed into the ground - of course hammering him with a .50 round right before he hits so you get the kill is cool too.

English doesn't count as a second language, if your first language is Bad English.

Not when you're insulting another person's intelligence.

Thats the only time a person's spelling and grammar become important.
