Lately I'm feeling if it's not it the SVD or the Type 88, t's nothing. Knowing how to aim correctly with the SVD to compensate for it's off-kilter reticule, bolt snipers are simply obsolete. Also because I play mostly SF so the accuracy of the bolt rifles isn't really required to set up head shots on such small maps with thick fog.

Re: Bolt or Semi-Auto Sniper?
well i play mostly on maps with little fog (oman..wake..) and long range shots are fun to do and i cant hit anything above 200 with an SVD. M24 would be my favorite

Semi.... SVD lays down a squad so much faster and can be used as a improvised assault rifle if you can compensate for the recoil properly.

Re: Bolt or Semi-Auto Sniper?
I prefer bolt action - Reason being with the semi-autos I find it harder to actually hit someone, It just doesn't feel very accurate.
My opinion anyway.

Re: Bolt or Semi-Auto Sniper?
bolt for shizzle... most bolts in real life are more powerful and accurate... thats the only argument i have i guess... just hate that the M95's crosshair is so thick... it should be called its cross stitch

Any real sniper wouldn't go for nothing else but good old bolt action rifle.

bolt because im learning to sniper well, im sure a very good bolt action sniper with an svd would absolute cripple enermy with the accuraccy of of a single shot sniper rifle.

Bolts. I like the higher damage from them. The scopes on the semi-auto's seem to throw me off, but i've never really played with them much either.
