another bf2 crash thread...

ok i know this is a common probrlem and i have looked at all of the others about the same probrlem but no help. ok first it started crashing to the desktop when i first spawned. then i had all of these probrlems with my pc and had to DUMP everything and reinstall windows xp...so now when i try to play bf2 it will show the square thing that says BATTLEFIELD2 and flash a black screen a couple of times then flash back to desktop like nothing happened! yes it is patched 1.14 or whatever.

specs:
windows xp
8800gts video card
duo core 2 prossesser
2 gigs
450 psu
so ya i want to be able to play bf2 with no probrlems but HAHA that never happened!:shakehead: srry for spelling i dont want to download that spell cheak...

450w psu? Is that even enough to power your video card?

The lowest I've seen in an 8800 rig was 600.

However I'm no power junky on computers but that maybe the reason. Or maybe you have bad ram.

Oh yeah, if your OCing your cpu then it prolly is a PSU issue but I wouldn't be surprised if its the issue with out OCing as it seems very low for a rig like that.

My questions are...

Which C2D and which 8800 gts card are you using? Need specs to be more specific, especially when working out the power needed.

EDIT.

Ok, after doing a quick glance at a normal 8800 GTS 320MB by EVGA, it alone requires 450W.

So go buy yourself a 600W or greater PSU.

hey man theres another stuff u got dual core just like me i was having this problen before if u dont have problens whit your grafic card or ram...... man u gotta do some stuff first start your game and come back to desktop then go control+alt+del and process u ill see ~5e00.. something like that and bf2.exe right click in ~5e000 go there in the afinit stuff and and if u realy got dual core u ill this CPU 0 and CPU 1 just tunr off the cpu 0 from bf2.exe and ~5e00... let only the CPU 1 selected mayb this ill fix your problen

I think we'd be better off if you spoke german and we used google translator to try to find out what your saying. Please, if your going to post anything at all let alone helpful, at least make an effort to try and not sound like a complete retard!

Ps. amazingly I could get an idea of what your trying to say through some keywords and that is not the issue he is having. It's the fact that he doesn't have enough power to run his rig that is causing him to crash the moment his video cards starts needing the juice.
