Re: How well does bf2 run on an oc'ed q6600?
Even stability wise is a load of crap. Comeon, THAT rig runs anything fine so why even bother asking. And if he wants to "overclock" it so bad, he should do some research, extensive research. Not ask for a YES/NO answer from a BF2 forum. He was just showing off.
As for high end rigs. Some people want to play their games with ALL eyecandy enabled. Cant blame them for that.Comment

It was same as asking "I just bought a lamborghini, can I beat a ford pinto with it".
I think he just wanted to brag about it, like somebody gives a sh!t.
People that live with their mothers and work some part time loser jobs, but spent 1000 bucks on computer upgrades are pathetic.Comment

Re: How well does bf2 run on an oc'ed q6600?
Overclocking my q6600 is not just for BF2, I will be running servers on this computer and will require the extra CPU cores. I only want to know if other people had any issues, beause I will most likely keep the computer overclocked reguardless of whether I'm playing BF2 or some other game. One would think posting on a forum for BF2 about something like this, you would possibly get an answer other than just a god damn flame. Why should I justify how I spend my money? FYI, I spent less than $700 on the parts, after rebates it will be less than $600 and once my current hardware is sold I will have spent no more than $450 total. I don't see how this was a waste of money, I also don't see the need for anyone to be flaming me when I ask a simple question about how BF2 runs on an OC'ed q6600. It doesnt even need to be this CPU either, the same question would apply to any other Core 2 Duo or Quad.
High horse? Please... If I were gloating or trying to show off my "ePenis" I would be doing it over my final total price of the parts.Comment
