I'd add, screw the GL, when I'm playing assault I'd take G3 anyday.

i agree the G3 was one of the best upgrades i chose. there is only 1 problem i have with it and that is the small clip size, other than that its really just amazing, i love using it.

but in that class, the G3 is the only thing u have. the only thing that u have that other people dont have is the smoke greande and that really doesnt do a whole lot.

the other weapons win becuz they come with maybe a nice pack of C4 or free ammo bag, or free health.

i think that MORE than makes up for the lack of GL in the [G3] because you get GL in the F2000 (already a great weapon - with a larger clip than the G3) and it gets flashbangs instead of the retarded smoke gayness

oh yea, i cant count the amount of times i used smoke with one hand. Flashbangs are really nice when taking out savy snipers nd good for punishing a tk or hacker!

ive not unlocked the F2000 so i pick it up whenever i can, but i have SF so i use it then, and the flashbang - though its completley diffrent to cs the flashbangs

in CS if you look in opposite direction to flash bang it lessens the effect...in BF2 it seems to just blind you for being so stupid

Yea, getting blinded by your own flash bang is really ghey.

One time, I blinded myself and I just started to panic and cr@p. After it wore off, I found out that I was humping a wall in my bunny-hopping panic.

in css, i thought they made it so it doesnt matter if u look away from the flash unless ur talking about the old cs 1.6 where looking away helps.

anyways, id use the flashbangs alot more if they made the whole process of tossing nades like in cs..much more immediate and smooth. i dont like the BF2 nade tossing process. there seems to be some lag while throwing

nope, turning away still helps in CS:S. one of the worst things about the game, really. Flashbangs just aren't powerful enough in the type of situations they're useful for in RL, and are overpowered in situations they'd be next to useless in RL. - having said that, proximity to the flashbang can severely hamper the effectiveness of looking away, as well as looking to the floor or ceiling at all.

You can put scope and a GL on any rifle, it has been done by all the armies in the world and I don't need pictures to show me that something I already know it's possible. However we are trying to stay within what is available in the game.
