Top Score medals are handed out like this.

#1 Top Score (If the same then onto #2)
#2 Number of Kills (If the same then onto #3)
#3 Teamwork (If the same then onto #4)
#4 Number of Deaths

If all 4 are the same I don't know, never seen it, probably Server Crash knowing EA. Ha..

Good stuff though, I love to battle for the gold, makes the game worth playing.

I disagree.

The way it works from what I have seen is the first person who actually accumulated that score during the round gets the gold.

IE. You get 150 ptns with a few tickets left. You hit tab and see the closest guy having 148. Game ends and you see the scoring screen and the guy that was closest to you is 150 and so are you. Regardless of the way the points were earned, you get gold because you were first.

I stand by this because I know for a fact I had a better K/d ratio then this guy I was playing against but we both ended with the same score and same kills. The difference being that I tied him, squeezing in a few more kills on the last few tickets before the round ended. End result I was second he was first yet my K/D ratio was much better than his.
