you cant get points for kills or teamwork as commander!

Correct. But when the score is tallied at the end of the round, the score given to the commander falls under the "teamwork" category. Thus when a score is tied, the gold goes to whomever has the highest teamwork score.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the only time total kills is used to determine a winner is when both team scores are equal.

I have been tied or seen ties for first and the person with more kills always gets the gold. Or I should say anytime a round ended with a tie I was involved in the gold went to the person with the most kills. Not sure about the commander.

In a rather intense game yesterday night, i knew it was a tight race for me to steal the gold medal in the dying seconds, but i never realised it was this close!

is that the closest scoreboard ever? exluding rounds where everyone gets 0 if the server doesnt have enough players etc, in my 600~ hours ive never seen a scoreboard like that :P

anyone else got scoreboards like this with 3-way ties etc for gold,silver bronze? i wanna see some more interesting screenies :)

If the scores are tied, the player with the most kills gets the nod on the star. I used to think it was teamwork (its should be IMO) but just last week saw where the player with most kills got the star. It would be the same for silver and bronze too. The game does not give out multiple gold/silver/bronze stars for ties.
