I've had one packet loss since the new PB.

Ever other loss of connection is due to my Netgear RangeMax router overheating all the damn time. Ambient temp hits 25C and *bonk*....no Net.

I was starting to wonder if it was my QTracker and PB, but it sounds like it is more PB.
And I agree, it is damn annoying for how long it already takes BF2 to launch into a map, that now you have to babysit the damn thing. I used to just walk away after launching to take a piss or get something from the kitchen. Bah!

I thought these guys were supposed to be professionals, every turn though, they prove to be more like amateurs with good advertising.

So far, in the last couple of days, I have been getting it. However, its ONLY on the first try after logging into BF2 and then hitting a server. Then I never get it again until I restart BF2.


Not a big problem for me, but nonetheless a problem. Its seems from this thread that others have it worse.

Funny too, I am also getting more CTD's then I used to get. They are pretty regular now after 2 hours of play.

Accually now that you bring it up, I have too been getting CTD's about every 2-3 hours within the last 3 or 4 days. I just chalked it up to being something regular. You know, "Hey, by bf2 just CTD--that means everything is going normaly and the program is working to prediction."

But ever since 1.41 I have rarely CTD, nothing like this^^^

Yeah, I rarely ever had CTD's. I sometimes thought, 'well, my PC might need a reboot' or 'maybe it is my recent reinstall/OC'...But a few weeks ago, I was not seeing this. I know there are a couple things I can do that might set myself up for a CTD (which I won't go into here), but outside that specific undermining, these CTDs and connection issues are rather new for my PC.

Getting it all the time as well, and several of my clanmates too....can be via xfire, or just normal in-game, but either way, it now takes 2x to get in a server..
