We have auto caught (as in PB caught them without any human interaction) 5 people in the last 3 days for aimbot violation. It has been a couple of months since the last auto catch. PB is far from perfect however I certainly wouldn't want to see what it would be like without it.

While I agree about catching a few hackers but the cons are out doing the pros. When you hurt the entire BF2/2142 community just to get a few hackers out of play thats not exactly a good thing... thats like dropping a Nuke on NewYork City to get a few crooks.

Catching a few hackers should be something a Good server admin can do with the help of punkbuster how it was not how it is... Punkbuster really dropped the ball on these latest changes and they should revoke soon back to the way it was!

I am going to disagree with the "punkbuster = worthless" statement, because I think that statement is plain ignorant. ....................................sic

PunkBuster is annoying, it makes me having to join a server twice each time, it runs as a service in my background even if I am not gaming and it's taking bandwith. But it does a good job, not perfect at all, but it does help a lot.

I agree 100% with your post, PB ain't perfect and there will never be an anticheat that is but its better than nothing. As for the post saying allow everyone to cheat, gees that would be fun, for about 5 mins......
