    A shot to the head

Heres' the deal... I'm trying to snipe someone from far away and I can see them slowly rising their heads up from a wall or some sort. I take a nice clean shot of their skull and to my surprise I did get an X hit mark, but the guy didn't die. I got an X mark on the head but he didn't die, perhaps maybe I shot one of his ears only and he was able to get back down to stop his ears from bleeding. Maybe I should of aimed for his eyes? or his mouth? I'm sure no one can live if they were shot through the eyes or mouth. Can someone tell me why things like this happens, when clearly his head is the only thing you see and he lives the shot.
    BAH ! BF2!

I have the feeling that the M95 has less bullet drop but got no proof.
But using it might be a better choice.
            I prefer the L96 though

It just doesn't happen with the m95, just that I rather use it. It happens to all sniper rifles and it ticks me when that happens.

Aim towards the top of their head if you think the bullet might drop.

                  Aim above his head.

If you shoot at someone with a sniper rifle and miss, go to a new target unless you know you can kill him with the next shot. If you shoot at a target and hit him, but don't get a kill, pull out your pistol and shoot him once or twice.

I see so many people waste their time on one target...

Re: A shot to the head

Lag/hitboxes can give you dust, bullet drop can give you real misses.

So play the hitboxes, what do BF2 hitboxes like to do? Lag behind. What does lag make you do? See things after they happen. So if someone pops up with lag and bad hitboxes they cancel each other out, you are not seeing real time, but the hitboxes are lagging back to the same point you are seeing.

So, that leaves the occasional BS dust and adjusting for bullet drop.

                    Cheers

to add to this conundrum, how do people get headshots when u are running and jumping? and they are using the M-24.

even worse, see the puff of smoke when you shoot them in the head but no kill and no indication that you hit them... grrr

Move slightly to the right/left, and then take a shot.

I saw in a Youtube video that at very long range, you might be hitting in between the hit boxes, and by moving slightly (crawling left or right) you will make the shot. It worked in the video, but I don't remember the name of it.

                              I'll try and find it
