Headshot with m16?

The m16 for the USMC assault is my favorite gun but I always wondered if it was possible to oneshot headshot a person with it? I have tested it multiple times but hitboxes always mess it up for me. Im not sure if anyone else has noticed but many guns don't seem to kill on head shot,Such as EVERY stock USMC rifle cept for the m24 and the m11-28.

Use it on burst, and zoom in to the head. Should work.

M16 does 32 damage max per bullet and hitting someone in the head multiplies the damage by 3. 32x3= 96. No, you can not one shot kill someone with an M16. Try an AK

Thats not how it works :P damage to the head is greater than damage to the body

That`s exactly how it works. Head take 3x much damage. So if M16 does 32 body damage, then during a headshot it makes 3x more damage, which ain`t enough to kill someone.

That is one of the things I find very retarded in BF2 gunplay.

That's why it's multiplied by 3... if it actually is, I don't know the mechanics.

From testing, I found out that everything is a one shot kill to the head apart from the pistols. Not sure if the above is true.

true, 96% damage equals dead most of the time.

They do more damage maybe? Jesus f*cking christ, it`s not that hard to make it out.

Suck when the enemy is at 100% and after you manage to pop him in the head once with your m16 he goes prone and karsumz you in the face with the G3, thus surviving with like 4 health. Has happened to me- that`s when BF2`s random factors kick in, and there are a lot of em.

You can get a single headshot with the G36C. i was on karkand and shot an enemy sniper on a hill who was far away with a single shot and i got lucky

The odds of someone survivng with 4 health are low but so are the odds of only being able to get off one round of the M16 and it being a head shot.

How did you know the sniper wasn't already wounded?
