    =TBF2=

    Ok, here is what we would like as far as dates, rules, maps, server setups for the North American match...

    Rules: None. We want to allow base raping but ask that both sides be cool about the spawn raping at normal caps. Keep grenade spamming to a minimum. I want everyone to play with honor and respect, but you always have one or two 13 year olds that fall back on their Karkand habits. Planes can attack planes as they are on the runway. Other team’s equipment is fair game for theft/sabotage. Attacking uncaps while flags are open is legal. Players that are in the match will need to have been registered on their respective forums prior to Aug 15th. Both teams will use a uniform/standardized tag. Ours this time around is =TBF2= .

    ServerSetup
    : Friendly Fire ON. Anyone spamming claymores or AT mines will hurt their own team just as much as the opponent. All weapon unlocks (most everyone on our team can play without the G36e, but still it's for kits like AT and such). Both teams will have Bf2cc admin designated to manage team parity and both teams will notify the other whom their admin representative is. Both teams will field 32 players and keep a 3 person parity. IE, if one team has three people disconnect in the match, the other team is fine until a forth person from the already negative team loses another person. At that time, the team still fielding 3+ more players will need to drop 1 player. So, with numbers:

    Team1=32 players
    Team2=28 players

    Team1 needs to drop one player so they meet the 3 person parity so it will be 31v28. The person getting dropped will be the lowest score person. But, both teams must be aware of the other team’s commander's name so they are not dropped. Hopefully, it will not be a squadleader.

    The server will have Battlerecorder going just incase at a later time, some questions start to arise if someone was really hacking. I am very sure no one on my team will hack, but, rather keep the honest people honest.

    The server will be passworded and unranked.

    VOIP will be on.

    300 seconds delay before each round starts to give time for people to get oriented.

    Maps: Winner is best 3 out of 5. We would prefer to not have carrier maps, but everyone on our team is pushing for Oman (across the board). We also want one Infantry centric map (but not IO, this is Battlefield, not counterstrike), this is to force pilots back on the ground and give ground people a chance to shine without helos and jets attacking. And one tie breaker map.

    Map1: Gulf of Oman 64 (2 rounds)
    Map2: Mashtuur City 64 (2 rounds)
    Map3: Fushee Pass 64 (tie breaker and one round only)

    We do not want any unbalanced maps like Sharqi or Karkand. Oman is bad enough because it has a carrier, but at least both teams have an uncap. If Oman is a no go, we can negotiate Daqing Oilfields or Dalian Plant; ideally it would be Daqing because of the J10/F18 equality. Regardless, the carrier map should be the first map starting the match. That way both sides get a chance to stage from it. If one team was to sweep Mashtuur, and then the other team got stuck on the carrier, people might whine.

    Server Password: To be announced!

    Server IP: To be announced!

    Date: Match is set for Sept 22, 2007. 5PM EST/2PM PST.

        I totally understand. I am in the same boat!!!!!! And I can't emphasize that enough! It will most likely be on a weekend. "It is a guess", but we will try to shoot for the third weekend of September something like the 22. I might delete that post later if it changes but we are looking to give ourselves some time to get both sides a little organized. I personally prefer mid-afternoon too. Good for East and West Coast people.

          I'd like to join, but I'd look silly next to those generals. :salute:

            Post your info. X-fire, Account ID or In Game Name, what kit you play.

              Toss me into the fray. Just try to schedule the date early so I can ask for that day off.

              Unlike the last time we played when I was rusty, I'll be doing a lot of Infantry Whoring on Vehicle servers to get back in gaming shape.

                  I'll be a squad based offensive Anti-Tank this time. So try to stick me into a flag cap squad. I won't be defensive this time around.

                    No worries, I trust you'll be an asset anywhere in the round. You still did well as sniper on that Mashtuur map last time. Even when you swiped that Cobra early in the West Oilfields.

                      Chris got himself a decent rig, a semi-gaming-grade-laptop and the test result show great FPS. September sounds great, the only problem I see is whether the date will match the time when I get internet connected to my appartment. And even if not, I will most probably just spend a night at my friends house. So count me in.

                      Playing for: NA
                      Prefered kits/roles: Medic or AT, fighter pilot
                      X-fire: in the appropriate topic
