  • M16/M4 "flick"

Ive just wondered this now, noticed it before, but after your guy finishes reloading an M gun, he flicks it, and you hear a tick. What purpose does this do?

Is it EA's bad coding, after realizing how fast the guns reload, they did a "flick" to kill time, to balance out the weapon?

Is it some sort of American-Gun-Owner's-Union thing, if so, why were Canadians not told?

Or does this trigger some sort of ability to make the guns super-weak?

    Talk.

he is pushing on the forward assist level on the right side of the bolt. It helps seat the round in the chamber by pushing on the bolt.

dude, with every machinguns, u can just put the mag on when you have not finished the other clip you were using, if this clip is empty, and you feel like reloading, you will have to reload all the stuff and crink crank.

                      On a related note.

In SWAT4, during the M4 reloading animation, the forward assist knob isnt being pushed. Instead a button on the left side of the magazine well is being pushed. Any comments on that?

Magazine release key is located on the right side. Just where you can reach it with your right index finger :P. I got a M733 airsoft rifle. Anyhow, I havent figured out what the think on the left side does...

And in BF2 the stupid characters always reload like the mag was empty = needs more time
