after asking this question on many forums and getting many different answers I came up with this.........
to get to 4 Star General, you have to be ranked in the Top 50 for global score, sure there are 4 Stars that are not in the top 50 but the USED to be, they became a 4 star and then they got passed up
therefore, promotion to 4 star general is a thing of the past for most people until the folks in the top 50 get bored and quit playin or they get reset, think about this.....the person ranked #50 right now has just over 300K points more than me, by the time I get 300K if he doesnt quit then he will have well over 500K
there are a few Lt. Col. that are in the top 50 but they need some Vet badges and time - and after looking at a few of them, they will probably NEVER get to general because they play IO and will never get the vehicle badges

So I'm looking at getting another 170000 ish before I can consider it? Meh, bugger that, I'll settle for the three.

Just 300K? It took me over 2 years to get 70K, you really must play a lot if 300K is not a big deal for you.

no your looking at needing another 300-320K points, get them all at 1 time and you will get your 4 Star LOL


there is 1 thing I dont understand, on BF2Player.com stats page it says I need 798,011 points to next promo and the next promo is 4 star

When I play for fun, I snipe; when I want to rack up points I play as support. Can't go wrong with support.

I think i rank up more points wit support than medic, i think supports better because you throw all the ammo packs out and fight until their bck, better than reviving (kinda boring)

I think i rank up more points wit support than medic, i think supports better because you throw all the ammo packs out and fight until their bck, better than reviving (kinda boring)

If you get more points as Support than Medic there's something wrong with you. You must not use the defib or play in a squad very often do you?

I been playing since the game came out, but I am only 3star, it's better to play for fun.
