I have to admit it, but I used to consider myself as a low-life, I played 5-12 hours a day and made about 1.5-3k points a day, well it's changed now :P. I dont play as much.

I guess you dont work in either:

A) IT
B) Engineering

or

C) Management

In all 3 you get paid well, but when it comes to overtime you do not get paid at all.

You seem to miss the point of a job. A job is to do well, not to do longer.

FYI I work in B) and C) and get payed yearly salary but if I want to stay over, they calculate average hourly that I get payed per hour then, so thinking about all the money I could've made by working extra 2 hours a day rather than playing bf2 made me reply in this thread. One again FYI I end up $40K short during the last couple of years.

still working 10 hours a day gives you 14 hours away from work. if you don't have a family (most people 18-24 dont) then 2 hours is not much to take out of your schedule plus extra on the weekends. If you have a family you should not be working 10 hour days unless you have to.

going away with the military really screwed my bf2 stats up. on bf2s it says i wont advance in anything for at least a year, o well idk i just play for fun, i would admit to grenade spamming at karkand every now nd then but i love wake, not exactly a points map

that does not mean anything you can update in much sooner time then a year its just they figured your score by day by including time you were not playing. As long as you reach the required points and badges you will be promoted but I think at the general ranks it takes some playing time as a prerequisite.

if you give me your in game name I can tell you about how many hours you need to play to be promoted.

well in the real military a first seargent can never dream of becoming a 4 star general in less then 2 years.

getting done officer schools and all that crap would take more then two years. plus most of the time real officer jobs are boring. I like where i am, ENLISTED

I have a lot more respect for the people that during this last 2.5 years chose to work extra 2 hour a day instead of playing bf2 and are at least half a yearly sallary richer than the rest of us. Cogratulations, we just gave up a nice car or a nice chunk of a house payment for 2 hours of fun a day.

Some people need that 2 hours of fun, to get by their ****ty job. And some people care more about their real life, and like it the way it is. Dont need a new car, house, whatever. Not everyone is rich, has a degree, and parents to fall back on if it all goes to hell.
