You don't have to be ashamed if you have over 1000 hours on BF,it's the hours per day that counts imho!

well in the real military a first seargent can never dream of becoming a 4 star general in less then 2 years.

But you can become their boss. There are many presidents that never made it past sergeant while in the army. Hitler for example was a corporal in WWI.

What's there to brag about, anybody over 1000 hours playing time should be ashamed of it, let alone brag about it. For example, living in US, working 1000 hours a year you'll make about $30K so you do the math.

That depends on what it is you're doing for work. He also might not be working age. Just FYI, not everyone that plays video games is an adult.

A good point but, Hitler doesn't count (the whole crazy tyrant world domination thing, not exactly a conventional ranking up like general or even president / commander and chief/) Sure if your super lucky you could go from a sergeant to president but not anywhere near two years! you would have to have all the connections and be filthy rich, US president prerequisites, most people below sergeant in the military don't have those connections. Plus nowadays unlike in the past rich political heirs don't fight in the military like they use to. :salute:

Getting to four star is impossible unless your a Battlefield 2 playing machine. Trust me, four star generals don't exist. It's all part of the system.

I think 3 star will be my max. Can't be arsed playing like a loon for a whole month in order to get 4 star. What are the prerequisites anyway? Top 50 3 stars for an entire month? In terms of time played and total score?

after asking this question on many forums and getting many different answers I came up with this.........
to get to 4 Star General, you have to be ranked in the Top 50 for global score, sure there are 4 Stars that are not in the top 50 but the USED to be, they became a 4 star and then they got passed up
therefore, promotion to 4 star general is a thing of the past for most people until the folks in the top 50 get bored and quit playin or they get reset, think about this.....the person ranked #50 right now has just over 300K points more than me, by the time I get 300K if he doesnt quit then he will have well over 500K
there are a few Lt. Col. that are in the top 50 but they need some Vet badges and time - and after looking at a few of them, they will probably NEVER get to general because they play IO and will never get the vehicle badges

meh.....I'll play with a private with good listening skills/teamwork/fun to be around over ANYONE in the top 50 list any day of the week.....
