@GeneralPatton, if it were easily done, I think we'd see a lot more people doing it and then it would be more easily detectable. Do you have linkage for the points hack and "hack servers"? Seems like it would be a pretty blatantly obvious thing to detect and ban/reset for.

Personally even in the high quality video I don't see anything blatant enough to show that he is hacking.

I and many of my old clanmates use a very high mouse sensitivity and our movement can look very erratic at times as well. Although you want see any of us going 150:5 in Karkand, even with teams so uneven as 17:10 as shown in the video.

I also used to use spin and crouch macros in Wolf:ET which were perfectly legal, although I admittedly haven't looked into the possibility of that in BF2. I'm more of a purists nowadays - I don't modify my controls in-game at all.

BEFORE YOU ALL GO AND BLAME FIRESTARTER, I HAVE A THEORY...

A thread made a few days back was of a guy who saw "f1r3starter" in a server doing some fishy things but was only a Sergeant. He seen it multiple times but the only listed "f1r3starter" is the 4 star (Of course). So this dude has a name spoofer hack, what say you he didn't hack like all the other noobs in those hack servers that 1 kill equals like 20,000pts and this guy got his account upto a 4 star general to then make himself look IDENTICAL to the real "f1r3starter"? This way, he could have #1 place stripped of his stats, when the real #1 actually did no wrong.

i like it to: i guarantee it is a classic name hack, with a hacker who has a old reset 4 star account.

Was just going to say that... this is NOT A NAMEHACKER/STATSHACKER/ANYTHING ELSE! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL.

How do you know its not the name hack?

they could also use the pb_plist command in game to get his last 8 digit pb guid to verify.

That or ip's Cd key hash's.

if people play with him and have spoken with him before, why doesn't someone get on VOIP of some sort and ask him if he was playing on that particular server at that particular time and see what he says

or better yet, direct him to the thread

I checked bf2s at the time he was on. And yes, his account was playing at that time on that server with that prefix. Whatever this is I am pretty confused. But I have to say that I really have trouble believing somebody has "hacked" his name :S

lol he posted a thread on these forums a month back with a fraps image of his game, showing the hacks enabled.

he came on our server recently but he only got to play for 10mins or so before we banned him :)

i posted a thread similiar to this the other day, it isnt him its a name hack, same deal with KDR etc. If he chooses to hack when he is the number 1 then he must be the daftest person on earth .

Doggie52: regarding most of your posts they seem to relate a lot to accusations, hearsay and general bo**ocks. If you can get a vid of him with the 4*'s and name actually hacking then i will admit im wrong but i doubt it. When your at the top you're always gonna get people trying to catch you out as this seems to be in this case.

Also if he had 150 kills in karkand infantry only his score would be a minimum of 300...his highest score recorded on Karkand on his stats page is 262.....hows that Doggie??

If you look at the vid and pause when I look at the scores, you will see his name with four stars. The four stars are not showing ingame due to EA being too lazy to add them beside the playername (no idea why).

If you are going to accuse me of being wrong you've first gotta check your assumptions.

^ dude i played against the 4 star f1r3starter last week, and a load of his 3 and 4 star burza* clanmates. His performance in game (IO) was vastly better than his stats. How do you explain someone with a 1.4 kdr with assault rifles suddenly going approx 75-5 with mostly assault rifles. Sure there was the odd nade, but it was mainly bullets.

I could be running perpendicular to him at 50m, hopping like the easter bunny, and he would cut me down with 2 single rounds from an L85, even though his ping was 110. And he did it several times.

This IS a name hack, christ it's obvious. Players will be watching him like a hawk allll the time, eager to be the one that brought the mighty f1r3starter down by EA reseting his stats. He would have been caught long before now, send your vid to EA and see what they say.....

The video provides inconclusive evidence. I watched the HQ version and it I cannot discern the names or anything because of some sort of interlacing on the video. Deinterlacing it blurs the names drastically. I dont consider this any sort of evidence as I dont even see the rank beside his name - which I can usually see when playing against 4-star generals such as blueassault.
