Favorite places to battle?

Pretty much every map in BF2 has a few places where a fierce battle always erupts, whether it's at a flag, between two spawn points, over a bridge, or whatever. What are some of your favorite little spots on any map that you always have a lot of fun battling it out on?

My favorite has to be the Palace on Warlord. There comes a time in every round when one team holds one flag in the palace and the other teams holds the other. Then everyone knows the battle is on and usually at least half of the players start spawing inside. The battle rages up and down the hallways, with people in every room waiting to jump out and kill you as you run past. Some people get smart and try going down the stairs and taking a different route to the other side, causing other battles to erupt in other hallways. Meanwhile, people are shooting and lobbing grenades accross the courtyard, others are trying to grapple through windows to get behind the enemy, and still others fight it out on the roof.

I think it's always a lot of fun and it makes Warlord my second favorite map, after Ghost Town. Someone should make a map that is just the palace only three times bigger.

So anyways, what are some of your favorite spots to duke it out in BF2?

Warlord palace is one great place to fight:) I love it and i also love Iron Gator (if i dont lagg to death tho..) But defending Warehouse on Karkand with my trusty GP 30 is SO much fun. Pisses ppl off but meeh.. War is hell:P

TV station on Sharqi. It can get pretty nasty when thats the last flag. As long as the choppers dont start whoring it up its usually pretty fun for either side.

doesnt occur often but my fav place for just gun battles is between flags on the beach of gulf of oman. more long distance = longer life expectency. tanks sortof ruin it, but the hills on the sand makes it easier to take cover

I'd have to say in the smaller Surge map where the two flags are merely a quick run from each other. I can get so many kills on that beast, it's ridiculous. Flag D all the way Woot!:yay:

Id have to say along the wall in Great Wall. Had some awesome firefights there. Warlord palace is another good one. Between train and gatehouse on Kark. Mosque and backyard on Mashtuur can get crazy. The whole area around market, hotel and mosque on Jalalabad is fun. The hangar bay of Gator can be intense.

Train Accident in Karkand. US holds the left side and MEC is backed up on the right. Creates a lot of good sniping kills for me (insert winking smiley here).

Ghost Town, between the Convoy, Waterfront and South Bridge. Center of the action but lots of cover too.

Drop a few health packs down near a wall, hit the enemy, fall back and heal. Or go support, dropping ammo and laying waste to any enemies leaving one of those 3 flags.

I personally hate the bridge fights, so whenever that happens i just spawn medic and spam medics packs + electamaticity.

I really like the rare infantry fights on Kuba dam. Most people probably didn't notice but in between construction and lower dam there are a crapload of corridors and staircases, which makes good cqc fights.
