Wake Island safe commander.

From my experience on wake island if your looking for the chinese commander youll probably find him as a sniper in one of those cement pillboxes with claymores at the door. Ive seen them do this lots of times. It's funny cause you can just chuck a frag in the window and be on your way. Well when im a full time chinese commander on Wake i swam out far into the ocean. Snipers cant see you, passing jets wont notice you and attack choppers will be too busy at mainland. What do u think?

Yeah try to swim all the way to the essex and into where the boats are.
You know, just to see if you can make it. I mean what else are you going to do while waiting for the assests to replenish.

You're not going anywhere in a hurry when the US has capped all your flags and its up to you to cap one so your team can respawn.


I see people wasted swimming all the time, once a commander spots them most pilots strafe the area until they get a kill message on most all wake servers I've played. Everyone goes for the water when the flags are getting scarce, very few make it back to the beach.

Bad idea, you are easy artillery target. You should stay near the flags to defend them, preferably in some of the houses where artillery can't hurt you.

I was on a wake server awhile back and I noticed a red dot out in the middle of nowhere in the water and it was moving. So it obviously wasn't a jet so I zoomed in and it was somebody. I thought it was an idler at first but I dropped arty on it anyways. Quite enjoyable really.

Under the carrier is the best place. Ideally, inside the carrier. Getting a boat into there (to kill you off) is an absolute *****, almost impossible. Note that it will most probably get you kicked if it comes to the worst.

You have the added bonus of watching all the little buggers on top squirelling around as your godly punishment descends on them from above.

just stay in the pillboxes if you die you die one or two deaths as a commander is not going to kill your team,
