I need help making a server

I need to know how to make a server spefically just for video fun I want to get a few of my friends on it. I downloaded the 1.3 server program but it doesnt seem like its working. Can any 1 fill me in on how to setup a free server with battlerecorder on it. Thanks

Start a multiplayer (or a single player if you want bots) in your client BF2 and give your mates your ip. There is no need for the server installer.

1. When you are running the "server", acivate the demo recoder by typing in the console "demo.recorddemo [nameyouwanthere]". Dont type the [] and dont have any spaces in the name. Console will then say something like "recording started".

2. Stop the recording by typing in the console "demo.stoprecording".

3. The demo files are created and stored in this path C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos

4. To be able to play these back inside BF2 you need to move the files from the above folder to this path C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos

Yeah a local game or a single player game, both allow other perople to connect over the internet.
