Or he could simply put something in the spot of his crosshair on his monitor. Oddly, I've seen people do it, they put like a lil stickytack where their crosshair is, then turn their crosshairs off to look leet for videos. <_<

This is basically what Project Reality is like. No cross hairs, but you get a HUD. There's no UAV though, so it only shows teammates.

I refuse to single shot at long range without my cross-hairs, but if I'm going to burst a couple shots at the enemy from medium range, it's more effective not to waste the milli-second required to switch to cross-hairs. Especially if you're in the process of jumping + instant proning.

have to give that a try. I think that you need more skill without cross and it shows in the clip you posted.

To tell the truth, it's not that hard to do. I believe it reduces deviation, which is why more professionals prefer not to rely on the crutch that is the cross-hairs when caught up in Medium Ranged Combat.

It takes some getting used to, but once you learn how to properly Jump - Instant Prone without using the cross-hairs, you'll soon find yourself the one that everybody whines about on the server when you plug your enemy before he even hits the ground on his jump.

i play like that sometimes but it doesnt just remove the hud/crosshairs. u cant select a spawn/class with renderer.drawhud at 0 and u cant take screenshots (i think) and screenshots w.o the HUD would look like 2x better

You're pretty much forced to play like that in PR and Insurgency. I used to do that a lot on CS. Tacking the centre of your screen is lame.

The whole point of crosshairs is to make up for the lack of parallax and depth in a game. In real life, it's a fair bit easier to judge unless you close one eye.
