I dont usually make threads. There are to many silly ones already and my Ideas, thoughts might seem silly to most everone else. Here goes anyway.
I would like EA to put a little more effort into catching cheaters and I believe a good first step would be to require all ranked servers to run battlefield recorder and insure that it is working as a requirement to hold the ranked status. Also require that the server make the battle recorder file available for download for at least 24 hours after every round. That way even if I cant get a good screen shot to prove that someone is cheating I can go back and watch the file and even try again or just send the video, video clip to EA. I know they probably wouldnt watch the whole file but with Battlefield recorder running and working "right" you can watch that player during the whole round and maybe use a program like fraps or something to capture a minute or maybe a minute and a half clip to send to them or whoever is the proper parties in charge of this.
I have noticed that servers that run Battlefield Recorder are almost (99.99%) cheater free. I was thinking that this might be the reason that they are not there. I also realize that at first there would be a flood of cheater videos sent in but I also think that it would drop off quickly after a few of the cheaters get reset. So even if you have a great cheat and it always works and punkbuster cant detect it, ever, you still couldnt escape the human eye watching the video with all the action centered on you. By the way you can do this while watching a Battlefield recorder file, if you didnt know.
Well thats my Idea. Sorry the post is so long as I tend to be long winded while trying to include everything. So is this a good Idea? Did I miss something? Is there a better Idea? Thanks for reading my thread. . . . . . . . . .Red
* I did proof read this before posting it, can you tell? I wish more people did that.
