BF2 Memory Errors

Hi,

My mate has just got a new pc,

Athlon X2 4800+ AM2
2GB Corsair PC6400
MSI K9N SLI-2F
160GB Seagate Barracuda S-ata HDD
8500GT 512MB Graphic Card
650W Coolermaster PSU

Anyway he can play other games fine but BF2 just seems to kick him from the server with an error message saying corrupt memory?

The game is patched upto 1.41 and he has all the latest drivers for his hardware and also the latest BIOS.

Have him remove one of the memory modules and test one at a time. Sounds like a bad memory module. Use Memtest86 to test.

He did a memory test for 8 hours with no problems at all, he has also been able to play HL 2 and various mods without any problems.

Then there is only one thing to do...reinstall BF2 and repatch. :salute:

He did not tell me exactly what he did to fix it but he did say he googled the error message and the answer was in there, so i believe it was something to do with BF2 itself and not his machine.
