medics, reload or heal first?

ok Ive been playing some infantry lately and alot of times I find my self in a situation where I only have a few bars of health left and a few bullets in my clip, enough bullets to kill someone but not enough in case I get ****ty hit reg(which I get alot)

know what I mean?

so what do you medics usually do first, heal yourself or reload your gun so you are ready in case you have to shoot?

I reload first in case I run into someone. I find that running out of bullets is a death sentence but being low on health doesn't always end up that way.

Standing around with a medpack is not the stupidest thing you can do when a squaddy bump into you. So reload that gun first! :)

If you want a quick fix...sniff... just throw it on the ground and walk over it to be healed while still carrying your gun.

You can first throw a medpack on the ground and then reload as you go over it.

Not only as a medic, but with many other kits and in many situations, drawing my pistol and killing the enemy for me was by far better choice than waisting 3-4 extra seconds to reload the rifle. The pistols have 0.8 sec draw time and most of the rifles have 4-5 sec reload time, enough time to get you killed.

I throw medpack and reload, if i see the enemy i throw grenades, so I have more chances to kill him- with few bars of health you can't kill any1 with pistol :shakehead:

Don't just pick the fight, pick the area you fight in. Scan the area for medic packs already thrown down, and camp in a good position where you're gonna see the enemy. Keep a medic pack at your feet at all times. You should never HAVE to choose between bullets or med packs, but which med pack you're gonna run for.

Here's a tip, the two side buttons we have on our Razers, set one to 2, and one to 5. :P

If you absolutely have to choose, throw down a med pack and switch immediately to your rifle. By the time you're half way through reloading, you'll be healed.

I guess, it depends on the situation. Are there a lot enemies around or just one?
Do you have some time to get to a hidden spot to reload and heal or do you have to keep on fighting.
Most of the times I just try to get away from the fight to heal myself, which sometimes ends up with getting shot in the back, LOL

Never usually have the problem because i've already covered the area in med packs. If your going around a blind corner, throw a med pack that you can prone onto. Always leave a med pack on your escape path, and try not to stray too far away from any cover that can save you arse.

If you come across 2-3 people and you run out of ammo, pistol isn't always the best option, run and jump over them picking up the kit of anyone you've already killed, kill them with that then pick up your med kit and carry on =)

i just heal first. i figure that when i go 1 on 1,i usually lose at least a few hit points..and if i dont have any hit points...then id die most of hte time.
