What? Every server I'm on, I don't see anybody dying from friendly claymores/at mines. Is there a server variable that fixes this so friendlies DO die? I hate without the FF on them, because people just spam maps with it, with no worries,and a free kill.

I'll admit I only read the top 3 paragraphs but don't care to hear the rest of your cries. I love people who punish jerks like you who turn this game into nothing but a gaymore whore rush. I bet you lob all your nades at one person too and call for a supply c8 or ammo guy to come by and replentish your stock only for it to all be used up with in a few seconds.

If you have played bf2 for a significant amount of time, you'd realize quickly that EVERYONE calls them gaymores. Don't even try to argue it, the last guy got put down really fast last week (yes there was another gaymore thread).

There are only two occasions I hit 'punish' for a TK... 1, if its on purpose, and 2, for claymores. Oronare, it doesn't matter how good you believe you are, or your intentions, no one can be 100% sure an enemy will be the one to set it off. If this is the gamble you want to take, then thats the same gamble you take for being punished. I call it a 'for being stupid' punish. If I could write a game patch, the first thing I would eliminate is claymores (or gaymores as most call them) or at least make them not be able to kill friendlies. Until then, no amount of crying will get people to not punish for spamming claymores...I would forgive for a wayward nade long before a claymore, because you have a lot more control of thier placement. But good luck on your quest though.

i never punish for claymore TKs, the difference being the enemy doesnt see the large red skull indicating 'dont walk here', friendlies do

Your logic confuses me

The whole idea behind a gaymore is to protect your back while you are sniping mofos and don't get poked by someones sparkling new knife or zapped by the pads...

Now the only way usually someone runs into your gaymore is the people who rush to the flags and plop it in the most congested places on the map, knowing d@mn well someone will run though there with in a minute. As stated above its your gamble to throw that crap down, but don't cry when you mess up.

I personally h8 ppl who put them on a flag. You gotta admit, you don't get much more noob then that. You can't kill the dude so you'll put a gaymore on the flag then that way you are garrenteed a kill or more and also get thedefended flag pnts. I think the "only justification" for a motive like that is when your team is clearly getting owned otherwise it just ruins the gameplay. And yes before anyone says it, if it is really that bad I do leave the server and join another one.

It does not make any diffrence if they forgive or punish you lose the same amount of points either way.

It does matter depending on server. On my PR server three punishes and you get kicked.

Needless to say punishes are fround upon unless you don't say sorry.

Im really confused.... almost EVERY SINGLE SERVER i play on has FF on, yet team claymores, AT mines, NEVER EVER EVER hurt me or explode when I drive over them or run over claymore... as if FF is off for the mines.

And ive played a lot of servers....

I know this is really immature of me, but I often punished because I get the jet first so the other nub decides to stand infront of my jet causing a -4 already for me and punishment just takes the piss, so i generally spend as much of the game as possible shooting them in the face and making sure their game is ruined as much as they have ruined mine despite my ever increasing negative score, which generally results in me getting kicked, then me getting MORE angry and hitting the table with my fist, hurting my hand which again makes me more angry and i just hit alt F4 and watch TV.

Oh dear, I always play BF2 fair, but I cannot help my pure anger when **** like that happens....

Oh another thing which makes me SO angry is when your flying the attack chopper and doing really well, stacking up the points (with gunner ofcourse) then some other person beats you to the chopper when you have died so you end up in the gunner seat. Fair enough its their turn now, but to top the cherry they fly you to the edge of the map and hover so you are either getting punished for fleeing combat or you have to bail out and spend 15 mins of the game swimming back to land.

well i do remember myself tking ppl with my own claymores a while ago, but lately i thought they changed it so that they woudlnt explode on teammates. Meh, maybe ive been playing too much on karkand IO FF off servers

They actually got it wrong.. The curved side is the directional, they put it a-rse about.. but anyway, its easy to assume the 'big red X' is a C4 pack. Its still ubernoob to punish anyway. I think some fools have their left mouse click as punish theyre so quick.
On Karkand once, this clown punished me so I had a go at him for it and called him a noob. He says 'I'm not a noob, look at my rank' (he was a colonel), then he says 'sorry, I hit the wrong button'.... well, if he wasn't a noob he should know which button does what wouldnt you think?

The problem with turning FF off on clays is that you have half the players as snipers looking for cheap gaymore kills... It's good if youre going for an explosives ordinance badge but it does get very annoying, especially on maps like Warlord where the entire palace is a claymore festival.

in my opinion the actual explosive ordinance badge kind of propels snipers to use their claymores more than their ****in rifles. A lot of urban snipers do that. There's no skill in it. Snipe, damn you! lol
