Massive, acquired by software maker Microsoft Corp. last year, said Wednesday it would begin serving dynamic ads to five new EA games _ "Madden," plus "Nascar 08," "NHL 08" and "Skate" for Microsoft's Xbox 360, and "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08" for Xbox and PCs running Microsoft's Windows operating system.

If they put them on the field I will probably just get that 2K8 football instead despite it not having the real franchises. It would be stupid to have them on the field maybe when they do the broadcasts and everything and do replays but when im gaming im not going to want to see some crappy stride advertisment as my RB runs for a touchdown.

All Battledfield 3 maps having five times as many billboards as Highway Tampa all advertising different things like deodorant and Dell and cell phones.

It wont be that bad in FPS games now that they are introducing destructable terrain. Unless they made that McDonalds sign indestructable....

I don't mind product placement in movies because you don't notice it, its done smart so that it doesn't get in the way, but still does its intended job.

Now if games can perfect that sort of placement then I wont have a problem, until then I'll stray away from games from companies like EA....

I can see it now, walking down a heavily urban area when you come to intersection and come under heavy fire from enemy snipers on top of the Mcdonalds. Then all of the sudden out of the Wal Mart runs a enemy soldiers with an RPG firing at you, you are so overwhelmed by all the enemys that you have to call in a Dodge Charger to pick you up.

Adds are going to ruin destructable terrain how many companys are going to pay to have their billboards blown up. By the end of the round the whole map will be gone except for the giant adds and we will all be fighting on top of mcdonalds signs and bill boards.
