If u haven't played yet, then try ENEMY TERRITORY (not the Quake Wars but the original). I think it's still in top 10 most played FPS games at the moment and it's free of charge. (http://www.enemyterritory.com/main.html) No vehicles, but the best ground combat game even nowadays. (My own opinion)

Graphics are not as nice as in new games but at least I can live with it. Classes exist and nothing beats the rush coming from stealing enemy clothes and try to sneak behind them for an stealth knife kill. Where u aim is where u hit, no bullet drop nor travel time.

Task based fighting over multiple sub-tasks. Hmmm...I think there is enough advertisement for one game. Check it out, I love it.

Oh, one thing; It's really fast paced game.

And if you want a game like BF2's I/O, you can always go back to the good'ole basics of CS source and Half/life2 where you can headshot a running combatant with a one shot sniper while standing up-side-down or climbing a wall horizontally.:)

I personally disliked AA because it played out exactly the same, every time. Just like Counter Strike.

And whats even worse- some rounds lasted 10+ minutes with people like you "trying to stay alive" and hiding in some god forbidden place.

It was a nice game at first, but it was just too "real" for my taste.
