Re: HACKERS using the KNIFE/EXPLOSIVE hack on Wake

Simon...I am a member of the forum on rTr and I did post the video link there.

Ok...so my computer ACTUALLY cost $4,240. Not quite 5k..but whatever.

    These are the actual numbers.

I built this system in November 2006

    Windows XP Professional $100
    Case: $80
    1000W Power Supply: $120
eVga 680i Nvidia Chipset Motherboard: $330
Pentium Dual Core E6600 CPU: $345
    2GB Corsair XMS2 RAM: $300
    HD WD(2x250GB Sata) $260
    Video Card: nVidia 8800GTX $750
    Sound Blaster Fatal1ty Soundcard: $150
    DVD Drive: $45
    DVD R/W Drive: $55
    Icemat Sibera Headphones: $80
    Saitek Cyborg EVO Joystick: $45
    Logitec G5 Laser Mouse: $70
Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000: $55
    Samsung 244T 24" Widescreen Monitor $900
Klipsch 5.1 Surround Sound System: $240
    Intel EXTREME CPU Fan $45
    TAX: $270

    TOTAL: $4,240

This is the nicest of my 8 home computers (counting my Sony Vaio laptop). My home theater PC is almost as nice as this one.

or, you have access to the settings (which is a violation of signing the contract when you rent a server) and then changing the files there.

and im not a idiot, i am very smart, and i know more about bf2 than you, and i can explain it to.

*EDIT* The client cant change the server, the server CAN change the client.

on topic, afaik its impossible to hack like that, don't you think their would be alot more people using them, leads me to believe it is server side since certain things not produced by the player/s were moving/firing faster than they should be which cannot be changed via hack. i saw the confirmed 2 hits as well as the 3 puffs on that guy, watching closely he never dropped a medic pack so he should be dead, unless of course, damage has been toned, like FF servers where it would take say 9 bullets to kill a friendly etc.

Nice build there dude. I figured when you said 5k it was an earlier build and it seems I was right. check my sig, I built that 3-4 months ago for under $3,ooo, CDN I might add too..

Anyways, all this talk about rigs has nothing to do with the thread topic. I think the flamming needs to stop and we (the people flamming you and yourself) need to just cool our tongues down. No need to pull out another bag of worthless insults at each other as it gets us no where.

I personally look forward to hearing what exactly happened in that video as this thread has much speculation towards it.

mm... a place not to play, for shure...
i dunno if the server i played was this one, but was on Wake... the commander used the vehicle drop cheat... Our! commander... dumping car after car, after car into the airfield... was so dumb... our own commander against us... i have screenies of it... for shure some of the stupidiest cheats i've ever seen...

1st off nice build but why did you put that CPu in it, its horrid compared to some of the others, but that aside, very nice, i wish i had it! lol :P

Secondly, that guys sucks!!! Even with that mod/hack he sucks! It would have to be both a server and client side modification to work like that, simple, i hope that whole server gets shutdown.

I'm sorry that system costed you $5000, I just built one like that for a friend for under $2,000 ... and the one in my specs which is a little less (22" Monitor & GTS, not GTX) costed me $950.00

It could be lag or packet loss. The puffs of smoke make it seem likely. I've had a semi-auto L96 due to lag.

pretty wild, as far as i knew that kind of thing was not possible on the client side, it had to be a SSM but who knows these days. id bet anything though that server is not PB streaming. post that video in their forums and tell them to stream.
