Aircraft troubles

I've recently started flying aircraft and don't do to bad. However, I've started to realise that even though I'm locked on to another aircraft and fire the missiles, they miss. This can sometimes happen when the other guy isn't really doing any counter manouvers.

However, I seem to get shot down by good pilots very easily. Take today, a guy called [CODE]Killmarv just owned me every time. His missiles by passing my flares as well. I get him in my sites and every missile misses.

I do wait for them to fire flares before firing by the way.

Any tips?

well first.......J10 can take down an F35B really easily. they just can turn easier and dodge missiles.

and i usually fly in bomb mode until i see a jet and then wait for him when hes bored/ just flying straight and then switch to anti air missiles.

(being in bombing mode wont let him kno ur behind him unless he actaully checks by switching cam views)

Experience, do what they do right and dont do what they do wrong (or you do wrong). Learn from your mistakes and pay attention. Other than that, each aircraft is different, which is probably the most notable tip you need.

Use SEARCH to find useful tips and tricks, aswell as whole sets of guides on these forums. TBF2 is an ark of knowledge, use it to your advantage.

Stilla-Killa thanks for the link I'll study it. Yes F35 V's J10. Although the same has happened on Fushe pass as both sides.

I put most of it down to inexperience. However, 6 shots of missile and 6 misses is just rediculous.:) :)

J-10 and F-18 can dodge just about anything. Still, to this day...I've never been hit with a missile in an F-18.

When it comes to F-35 vs J-10. Stay high, scout, come in behind, and spam the hell out of him. If you're lucky, you'll get at least 1 hit. Retreat to the clouds, and either go after him with guns, or go back and rearm. J-10's can get very frustrating.

Lead your target, keep them behind the middle of your screen.

90% of the missiles you're going to fire at a J-10 will miss. It's just the nature of BF2.

I suggest playing maps like Oman before you get in to Wake.

Indeed it just looks so ridiculous you go behind the J-10 with bombs toggled, then switch to missiles and fire all of them towards it.. the barrage flies towards the engine heat like they are supposed to, and then 1 meter from it they make over 45 degree turn into random directions .. :dead:

I've seen the missiles hit the J10 and make an audible clunking noise as they bounce back off one-by-one.

F35B vs J10 < no experience on the J10 part, ever. It's just how the game is, messed up. Anyone can fly that junk and get easy A2A kills.

I see J10's fire two missiles at me and turn around, knowing that I'm going down 100%, that's how comfortable they are in that junk, but most of the time they're wrong and I see them doing a U turn again - and that's where the experience comes on the F35B part.

I think it is hilarious when you're chasing someone in bomb-mode, then you open up on them with the MG and they release their flares. Priceless
