I think I saw one or two the other night, but can't remember. Just try to search for map name and see what you come up with.

I can play that map pretty smoothly - my biggest complaint though is how all of the nametags clutter up the screen. BTW, it's a great map to get the anti-air medals and ribbons on.

Same, I saw at least two. Do a find for servers and sort by map type. Both that I saw said 24/7 Gator and had specific rules.

TCS, eh? Apparently you didn't have the pleasure of playing with any admins that kick you for flying "their" helos. :/ I refuse to play TCS any more. They are pricks when confronted about it too. Very inbred, but so is half of the BF2 servers out there, so what else is new?

Anyways, Iron Gator is a load of fun IF you have a team with a clue. If not, it's USMC is bored while MEC just dies.

The gator rules since I got my new comp - it used to be alggy as hell and now is silky smooth. You also need to learn the map - that carrier can be confusing the first 30 times you play it!

True as heck. Run an offline game and learn to navigate the Essex completely. The ability to get anywhere on that ship via two or three routes is usefull. Too many people I'm with can't get from Mess Hall to Engineering without being show, and that route is a gimme.

The issue of running too tight of a defense game as USMC is that if the MECs don't get a flag, the game is boring for both sides. It doesn't take much to demoralize the MEC team from trying. If they have no pilots, or the less experienced pilot grabs the chopper first, the MECs are toast.

Getting on the Essex via boat isn't impossible if done in an organized way, but it is difficult.

lol BTW it's not United State Marines it's United States Navy Seals. Getting on the ship by boat is easy if done the right way. Have the APC escort the boats and go by the edge of the map then come in. If you have enough man power you can easily take the boat bay and main engineering. There are only 6 to 10 guys guarding the boat bay so with 10 or 12 guys plus APC support it's pretty easy. Then I'd say just abandon the APC before the chopper eats you alive and the ats guys get trigger happy. The first time I played it I was confused but now it's actually not confusing at all and very easy to navigate.

DOH!! I'm from a Navy family too. You think I'd remember.

I think they have friendly fire on at that server. This means anyone sets off a Claymore. If thats the case, only go sniper at the risk of negative points. I'm not 100% positive of that, but one of the 24 hour ones I was on did that.

If your chopper pilot is paying attention, your little armada won't make anywhere near the boat bay.
