Is the hard drive working while you wait for it to load? Might sound dumb but try cleaning up your hard drive then defragmenting it.

          Hey,

Your AMD Processor is the problem, the the 3800+ is not a processor meant to be capable of gamming!

          i have a 5600+ runfs BF2 fine!

I would suggest trying to buy a new processor, the 5000+ would be your best bet for running BF2.

          Gud Lux!

          :salute:

check for error on your HDD.
If it is the partition which is corrupt, format your corrupt partition. (the easiest way i guess , i did that)

PSH thats a load of crap. the 3800+ is just fine. I had a 3500+ and played the game fine... not perfect but it was definetly better than most if not all of the p4s some people play with. You could try disabling one of the cores and run bf2 with just 1 core. A 5600+? So you got your cpu when the core 2 duos were available? ... Some people even play with athlon xps and run the game.
