I hate any server rules, the lamest being no-baserape.

yeah all rules are stupid, unfortunately to prtoect the crappy players you have to have no base rape rules.

Whats wrong with no baserape (I mean bo UNCAP rape). If the enemy rapes all spawning aircraft your team will suffer a lot cause their aircraft can roam free, few AAs wont stop them :hmm:
And if the enemy rapes carrier on maps where its the only base for US at start, its impossible game for US, they will lose. Again, the AA turrets are too weak to stop baserapers.

Wrong. I have used the Essex guns MANY times to take out enemy jets...and not just the slow as balls MEC bomber either. You just have to know how to use it, just like any other part of BF2.

It's a rule you see a lot on IO servers.
But imo against EA's ROI.
And a stupid rule if you ask me.

I cant hit krap while im bunny hopping so i dont do it, I do it only when i am outta ammo & reloading & i usually hop away like behind cover, not in a circle around the guy.

but it is a key, so i cant say i like it , but to stop it is gonna be lotsa work.

i hate servers that say "well only spec ops in uncaps to take out toys" then NO killing in the uncaps, so if ur going to be sneaky & run around tryn to get to the uav trailer & outta the corner comes a enemy all u can do is run, GTFOH, what a idiot rule. I was threatened kick/ban cause i killed somebody between me & scan trailer , i was just defending myself, i think thats the stupidist server out there.

Ive seen "no shock-paddling" which is stupid.

Also, on gulf - "can base rape on every base other than the carrier" which included the MEC uncap...which is just insane, totally sided towards the US team in that case.

One of the dumbest I've seen is "no killing of enemy repairing commanders assets UNLESS they first fire upon you". WTF?

A no baseraping rule on an I/O server is dumb IMO. There's no arty, no incessant bombing, no circle of armor...it's just guns versus guns. If you can't hold your own in that environment you need to find something else to play.

On bunnyhopping...I love it when people do it. When they're jumping they can't shoot me but I can shoot them and it's funny how their ragdoll player model goes flying through the air when you nail them.
