Im sure for a while but about how long would you say people would still be playing it? Reason why is that Im thinking of starting a small clan, and no, I probably wont join another clan due to the fact I already have hosting. I know there are way too many clans out there already but since I have had hosting for a while, I thouht what the heck, you know?

for years to come....there are still a ton of people that play BF1942. Clearly the big draw to BF2 is the stats system...so if that ever dies (for good) then you will probably see the popularity drop off, but people will still play it. Even with al the issues it is still a great game.

At this moment in time BF2 may well go in the binn with the current stast issue .

BF2 has been the best game I have ever played and I have been PC gaming for 20 years now . I look at it like this , if the stats issue does not get sorted very very soon there will be a mass migration to ETQW next month and I will be one of the first .

Starcraft is a whole another ballgame.
Blizzard made a solid, no bs game.

The stat issue wont kill BF2 unless it lasts for 3 months it has a large enough non stat whore fanbase and eventually the stats will catch up.

you sure? I guarantee by 2011 we will be nearing that and by 2015 the game will be totaly dead. It just happens slowly.

Yeah, I say in about 2-3 years the game will be very low on radar; only maybe 100 servers left.

Granted, most of my BF2 days will go bye-bye once CoD4 comes out

Loads of people still play battlefield 1942, so bf2 should have a quite a while to go yet,

Noone has mentioned Spore yet.
Can't wait for that game to come out.
