If I have time I use my scroll wheel. If no time, I hit "F", especially when playing anti-tank. I never ever use the numbers. Don't really know why.

i use two thumb buttons on my mouse for primary weapon and pistol and mouse wheel or numbers for everything else. its saved me several times when ive run out of ammo in my rifle to be able to switch to pistol that fast.

i think its easier to press 1 for knife

idk i never had a problem, i can switch just as fast with a quick flick of my index finger depending on what i need, cant even see it selecting its just zoom, works perfect for me. perhaps I am just so used to it after 1000s of hours

if i have my primary out i use the mouse wheel for nades, ammo, meds, defibs, clays, c4 whatever. it's like my hand remembers each kit and the number of clicks it has to do so i dont have to look away from my crosshairs.

to get back to my primary i use 3, coz its close to w so easy to press, same with pistol when i'm in a tight spot just go for 2

half the time though i dont know what method i used, if i want a weapon or accessory it just appears, i dont really think about it.

wehn i want to plant c4 and stuff really fast i dont wann scroll for it i need it to be fast and accurate,hence i use numbers

Use the numbers but changed them all around.

1= Med packs (default5) Also C4 etc
2= Shock paddles (Default6)
3= Gun / swap modes.
4= Nades
5= Knife
6= Pistol.

Mainly use the wheel to get knife and pistol up but i play medic so much that swapping between med packs and shock paddles / gun has to be very quick.

i use the mousecroll buton to change weapons and the back button (logitech g7) to change fire modes. i find the numbers to hard because ii have to take my eyes off the screen, but i might just need more practice.

M/ scroll is easiest imo!!I cant be arsed to search and press buttons while in a firefight

but then what if you scroll too far and hit pistol instead of primary? thats what I dont like about it when im going to get ina shoot out I just keep my main gun out you never know when they will pop around the corner and wuarter second taken to switch or longer with mouse wheel could end up killing you.

the thing is though people used to the mouse scroll like myself just do it instinctivly [sp], like you with the buttons i no doubt, you just hit the right button without thinking about it

button 3 - nades
button 4 - sraw/shock paddles
