Mission: Strike at Karkand
Factions: USMC - MEC
Time: 1430 hours :salute:
It was a normal routine mission for the USMC Bravo Squad, kill the enemy, take their bases to create an advantage for us. We started at the Hq and hopped in a Hummvee, with me driving, Gangster on the gun, and 1POwnage and Conrizzle in the back.
We were doing good at first, we captured the Suburbs first, made our way to Gatehouse, than back to Train Accident while the other squads were securing Hotel and Square. Only one left was Market.
We got a call for help down at the Hotel, seems the MEC were trying to make a final push for it so they could get an advantage over our HQ. I jumped in the Humvee with the others and flew there A.S.A.P.
We were met with extremely heavy resistance: anti-tank missiles around every corner, sniper on roofs and behind bushes, and infantry swarming out of every nook and cranny. We put up the most defensive position I've ever seen as they were being pushed back.
"Looks like the Market is left Easy," said Ownage over the radio. "Let's go!" urges Gangster enthusiastically. Our humvee had been blown to pieces, so we were walking.
We started meeting resistance as soon as we got to the Square, not a good sign of what to come. The battle got even more heated when MEC tanks started rolling up on all sides. "Flanks them from the rear! Follow me!" I told my squad mates. We mades our way slowly on the western side on the map, climbing the cliffs over looking the Market. Luckily our sniper, Gangster, had good aim and started picking them off once he had a good shot at the Market. I assessed the situation quickly: a few Anti-tanks, a medic or two, tons of Assault/Spec Ops, and s couple of snipers; atleast, thats all I could take the time to pinpoint as the artillery started raining down on our position. "Move like your asses are on fire!!" I shouted. Amidst the carnage came "That was gay...just to let you know," said Ownage jokingly.
We jumped down the cliffs into hostile fire from all directions. Seems the little buggers were dug in pretty damn good. Constant artillery from both sides didn't seem to be breaking either sides willpower, so thats when we decided to make a giant push from all sides.
I took my squad to flank from the east, Alpha from the North and Charlie and Delta from the South. We grabbed a tank from the Gatehouse and flew over instantly. It seemed the MEC weren't going down easily after the constant assault. They had rocket turrets manned, along with anti-tanks everywhere.
We started blasting anywhere there was enemy forces, we even got close enough to the flag to start capturing it. Thats when they did what I feared.
A few of them escaped the massacre and started re-capturing bases, starting at Suburbs. We left Alpha squad at Market to mop up while Charlie and Delta headed back to Hotel to sweep up and we headed for the 'burbs.
All in all I had the best co-operative squad I've ever had the honor to command, and the MEC put up one hell of a fight, but we won by two points! :yay:
